Novitec Elevates Ferrari Roma: From Elegant Exotic to Fighter Jet

Don’t let the exotic looks fool you. The Ferrari Roma might be the cheapest Ferrari currently on sale, but “cheap” in Prancing Horse terms still means a starting price close to a quarter of a million dollars. With a few optional extras, destination charges, and dealer markups, your Ferrari Roma can easily cost you close to $300,000. Add in tuning modifications, and the price can soar even higher, sometimes approaching the $500,000 mark.

Since its debut four years ago, the Ferrari Roma hasn’t seen many eye-catching transformations from the aftermarket world. Most modified Romas tend to go overboard, especially those from tuners like Mansory. However, Novitec’s recent take on the Roma strikes a balance between simplicity and effectiveness, resulting in an exceptionally appealing car.

Novitec, known for its subtle yet impactful tuning style, has held back from installing an over-the-top body kit. Instead, the company focused on adding matt carbon components and installing their NF10 alloys with a sleek V-spoke pattern. The suspension has also been tweaked to lower the car, improving high-speed cornering at the expense of some comfort.

The result is a Ferrari Roma with a fighter jet-like appearance, enhanced by its gray satin finish. The black wheels with the iconic Prancing Horse emblems complement the overall design, while yellow brake calipers add a touch of contrast and maintain the Ferrari branding.

In images shared by Novitec on social media, the car’s interior remains mostly untouched. The black Alcantara upholstery, adorned with white double-stitching and piping, retains the Roma’s original luxurious yet sporty feel. This restraint in modification highlights Novitec’s belief in the “less is more” philosophy, allowing the Roma’s inherent elegance to shine through.

Under the hood, the Roma retains its 3.9-liter V8 engine with dual turbos, producing 611 hp (620 ps/456 kW) and 561 pound-foot (760 Nm) of torque. This engine, capable of revving up to 7,500 rpm, propels the car from 0-62 mph (0-100 kph) in just 3.4 seconds and can reach a top speed of over 199 mph (320 kph). Ferrari’s engineering ensures that the Roma combines thrilling performance with everyday usability.

Novitec’s approach to the Roma is a testament to the power of thoughtful, restrained modifications. By avoiding the excessive and focusing on enhancing the car’s natural attributes, Novitec has created a Roma that is both distinctive and true to its roots. This fighter jet-inspired Roma exemplifies how subtle changes can yield dramatic results, turning an already stunning vehicle into an even more captivating machine.

We’re fans of Novitec’s work on the Ferrari Roma, but what about you? Do you approve of these modifications, or would you prefer a different approach? With the Roma’s timeless design and impressive performance, the possibilities are endless, and each owner can make it their own in unique ways.

In the world of exotic cars, where personalization often means extravagant alterations, Novitec’s Ferrari Roma stands out as a beacon of tasteful tuning. This elegant yet powerful vehicle proves that sometimes, less truly is more.
