Material: ASA (acrylonitrile-styrene-acrylic ester)
ASA is a highly technical polymer for outdoor use. This plastic is characterized by its particularly high strength, rigidity and weather resistance. ASA owes these properties to its special ingredient: acrylic ester rubber.

We process ASA as sheet material, i.e. the parts are milled “from the full material”. The high-quality, matt and scratch-resistant, black surface that is typical for ASA is also worked out here. The surface of ASA does not require any further surface treatment; AC Schnitzer aerodynamic components from ASA can be installed directly.
Of course, painting is still possible on request. After the surface of the ASA material has been pre-treated, it can be painted in any color.

Creative design
PUR, ASA or carbon: at AC Schnitzer all design drafts come from a real Italian artist: Michele Viandante; he has been Head Designer at AC Schnitzer for many years. Of course, his designs are not only beautiful, they also have to prove themselves: e.g. B. Many parts are checked for their function in the wind tunnel.

Testing
If the calculations agree with the results, further tests are due. Crash tests with dummies check whether z. B pedestrian protection is observed. The AC Schnitzer aerodynamic components are only sold worldwide when all tests have been completed and the reports have been issued.

Document
The parts certificate is an official certificate that allows the use of tuning parts in public road traffic within the framework of the StVZO in Germany (and some other countries). After the part described in the report has been installed or converted, the vehicle must be presented to an official test center. The inspector determines the correct installation as well as the authenticity of the part and then enters the modification in the vehicle documents. The official operating license of the vehicle thus remains in place. The parts certificate is part of the scope of delivery.
